Dr. Wesley Tyree

Noninvasive Cardiology

Dr. Wesley A. Tyree MD is a Co-Founder of Atria Heart. He is a board-certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist, with additional board certifications in Nuclear Cardiology and Internal Medicine. Originally from Portland, Oregon, his education began at the University of Oregon, graduating with a double major in Finance and Marketing and a minor in Economics. He worked in the financial sector initially but decided to leave to pursue a career in medicine.

 He completed additional undergraduate studies and worked in research at Oregon Health Sciences University for a year prior to entering medical school at Saint Louis University, where he graduated in 2002. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency in 2005 and Cardiology Fellowship at Banner University of Arizona in Phoenix in 2008. He was named Chief Cardiology Fellow in his final year of training.

Dr. Tyree has a special interest in Preventive Cardiology, and is the director of Cardiac Rehabilitation for the Honor Health Hospital System. Dr. Tyree is also heavily involved in Sports Cardiology in the community, catering to athletes of all ages, from high school to professional sports teams. He enjoys outdoor pursuits in his spare time, including hiking, biking, golf, and fishing. He is also an avid musician playing guitar for over 30 years.
